Welcome to the home page of the Ecker Hill International Middle School Community Council. This group has been tasked with developing a long-range/strategic school improvement plan which encompasses three years and is focused primarily on setting, monitoring, and assessing goals to improve student achievement.

Officers

The Ecker Hill Middle School Community Council has the following officers:

Meetings

The School Community Council will meet at least five times the school year, 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Dates for the 2009-2010 school year:

  • September 10, 2009
  • October 8, 2009
  • November 9, 2009
  • January 7, 2010
  • March 10, 2010
  • April 15, 2010
  • Other meetings will be held as needed to gather and share information.

Communication

  • A parent agenda will be distributed to each parent at the start of every school year, or at the time of student registration.
  • A student agenda will be distributed to each student and his/her family at the start of every school year, or at the time of registration. Parents will be encouraged to review agendas with students.
  • A bulletin board space will be designated in the teachers work area for communications related to site-based issues.
  • Communiqués will be created at all Building Leadership Team meetings. These communiqués will be e-mailed to all faculty and staff.
  • The PTO newsletter will include a column related to site-based issues, when appropriate.
  • Information will be distributed by administration to all faculty and staff via E-Mail and hard copy memos.
  • Quarterly postcards will be sent to parents to inform them of upcoming parent/teacher conferences and of other school information.
  • The Daily Bulletin link from PowerSchool will be utilized to post information for students, parents, and teachers. This posting will also be found at http://ehims.pcschools.us
